Bundibugyo Women With Disabilities Living With HIV/AIDS
Empowering Women With Disabilities Living With HIV/AIDS

Ensuring that women with disabilities living with HIV/AIDS are accepted, respected, and live with dignity in the community.

We are the voice of the voiceless women with disabilities who live with HIV/AIDS in the district, and we were registered as a community-based organization that is responsible to advocate for their rights in the district with the aim of reducing the high spread of HIV/AIDS among the society in the district and the world at large.

Here’s what we do…

Voluntary Testing and Counselling

To ensure that people can exercise their right to know their HIV status, and that people with HIV can receive advice on how to live positively.

Economic Empowerment

We empower women to build better livelihoods, earn more income, and create businesses that provide jobs and boost local economies.

Community Mobilization and Sensitization

We mobilize and involve communities in HIV/AIDS prevention, care and support for the people living with HIV/AIDS

Lobbying and Advocacy

We advocate for the rights of people with disabilities and those living with HIV/AIDS.

Our Implementation Strategy

We network with civil society organizations that advocate for HIV/AIDS rights, and the rights of persons with disabilities (PWDS) at local, regional, national, and international levels
